2 people shot, injured on Indy’s near west side

INDIANAPOLIS — Two people are injured following a shooting on Indianapolis’ near west side on Friday night.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 2500 block of West McCarty Street around 7:45 p.m. on a report of a person shot.
When police arrived, they found a male and a female with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. Both victims have been taken to an area hospital.
IMPD confirmed there was damage to a residence and a van in the area.
