INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana State Police have issued a Silver Alert for a missing 81-year-old.
According to a press release, Sheryl Sommerkamp was last seen on Saturday at 5:21 p.m. Sommerkamp was wearing a blue jacket, pink shirt and blue jeans and driving a light blue 2012 Volkswagen Beetle bearing Indiana license plate AF5518 at the time of her disappearance.
Police described Sommerkamp as a 5-foot-8, 140-pound, gray-haired, hazel-eyed woman. ISP reported that Sommerkamp is missing from Carmel.
ISP also indicated that Sommerkamp may be in extreme danger and in need of medical assistance.
State police are asking those with information on Sommerkamp’s disappearance to dial 911 or call the Carmel Police Department at (317) 571-2580.
As of this article’s publication, no additional information on Sommerkamp’s disappearance had been made available.
