IMPD officers involved in shooting on Indy’s east side
INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis police are investigating a shooting involving officers on the city’s east side.
Indianapolis Metro police officers were called around 5:50 p.m. Thursday to the 900 block of Grant Avenue for an active investigation. This is a residential area near the intersection of 10th Street and Sherman Drive.
IMPD confirmed around 6:15 p.m. that officers are on the scene of an “incident” in the 900 block of N. Grant Street.
“There was an officer-involved shooting,” IMPD said on social media.
IMPD said no officers were injured. No details were provided on what led up to the shooting or if any suspects were injured.
No other information was immediately provided by IMPD officials. FOX59/CBS4 has a crew on the way to the scene to gather more details.
