Central Maine Medical Center temporally suspends some admissions

LEWISTON, Maine – Central Maine Medical Center is temporarily suspending admissions for children, heart attacks and trauma, according to the hospital’s website.

As of Oct. 11, CMMC said patients who arrive in the emergency department for the listed conditions can be screened, stabilized and evaluated at the hospital, but will be moved to another facility for hospitalization.

The reason for the suspension was not stated on the hospital’s website.
