Gujarat’s first COVID-19 center for children, with 230 beds, opened on Friday at Guru Govindsinh Hospital in Jamnagar.
The state-of-the-art children’s hospital was e-inaugurated by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.
This is the second COVID-19 hospital of the Nita Ambani-led Reliance Foundation in Gujarat. A few months ago, a 400-bed COVID-19 hospital was established by the foundation in Jamanagar.
According to information, the 230-bed children’s hospital has 30 ICUs, 10 neonatal ICUs, 22 medical intensive care units and 10 state-of-the-art ventilators.
The hospital aims to cater to the child population in the Saurashtra region amid the potential third wave of COVID-19.
The state-of-the-art medical equipment includes bi-pap machines for PICU, HFNC units, neonatal pulse oximeters, loringo scope, auto scope and thermal thermometers.
