IMPD searching for missing 2-year-old last seen on south side of Indianapolis

UPDATE — IMPD has called off the search after a female toddler was located deceased in a nearby pond. The Marion County Coroner’s office will make official identification.

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of how Anna went missing. The IMPD Chaplains Office and Victims Assistance are on scene. Anyone with information is asked to contact Missing Persons at 317-327-6160.

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 2-year-old who was last seen on Saturday on the south side of Indianapolis.

According to a post on its social media account, IMPD is searching for 2-year-old Anna Mandanda. Mandanda was last seen at around 3 p.m. on Saturday in the 6900 block of Governors Point Blvd.

A news release from the department said that Mandanda is described as being 3′ and around 35 pounds. Mandanda is also described as having black hair and brown eyes. IMPD said that Mandanda “may be wearing a blue shirt and have no diaper on.

Officials with the police department said that officers are currently searching for Mandanda on foot and using a drone. Individuals are asked to call 911 or contact the Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana if they have any information on her whereabouts.
