McCordsville man faces new child pornography charges while awaiting trial in different case
FISHERS, Ind. — Fishers police have arrested a man accused of possessing and distributing child pornography as he was awaiting a trial in a different child porn case.
According to the Fishers Police Department, Syed Tirmizi faces 10 counts of Child Exploitation (Level 4 Felony) and 10 counts of Possession of Child Pornography (Level 5 Felony).

The investigation into Tirmizi began on July 29 when officers with the Hamilton County Metro Internet Crime Against Children Task Force received a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Detectives soon became aware of social media accounts belonging to Tirmizi that allegedly contained content depicting child sexual abuse material. Police uncovered evidence that Tirmizi allegedly sought additional child sex abuse material from other users while interacting with them in online chat rooms.
Tirmizi was placed under arrest and transported to the Hancock County Jail.
FPD noted that Tirmizi was previously arrested by the McCordsville Police Department in 2023 on 12 possession of child pornography charges.
In that case, police said Tirmizi had allegedly communicated with a 14-year-old girl based in Florida on online apps. During their investigation, police executed a search warrant to download images found on Tirmizi’s phone, where they allegedly discovered numerous images depicting child porn and bestiality.
Online court records out of Hancock Circuit Court show the court has set a cash bond for $75,000 and ordered Tirmizi not to have any electronic devices in his possession or have any contact with individuals under the age of 18.
Tirmizi’s jury trial for the new case is set to commence on Nov. 18. The jury trial in his first case is set to take place on Aug. 19.
