Pattern change underway with daily rain chances in central Indiana
Yesterday, a few pop-up storms occurred in the late afternoon/early evening. Then, overnight/early this morning, a more widespread rain occurred. THAT is what the doctor ordered! This rain is moving out and we’ll have plenty of dry hours today. A few pop-up showers are possible in the afternoon but the next highest chance exists overnight into early Monday.

While it doesn’t look like much, it’s at least something! Since last night, some spots have seen 0.5-1.0″ of rain! That’s especially the case up near Zionsville and in Lafayette. Indianapolis received a trace of rain yesterday and a tenth of an inch so far today.

This week in a nutshell for Central Indiana… (1) A Daily Rain Chance (2) Muggier Dew Points and (3) Slightly Lower Temperatures. All in all, lawns and trees will be happy this week. 2-3″+ of rainfall potential exists for portions of central Indiana. Luckily, our grassy surfaces for the most part can handle this due to the lack of rain! This will HOPEFULLY put a solid dent in our drought.

Also, don’t forget that the Fall Equinox is Monday with Autumn officially starting at 2:19 PM. All latitudes/longitudes on Earth will have nearly the same amount of daylight and darkness.
