Pediatric Infectious Disease Specialist Dr. Mark Hicar talks COVID vaccine for kids

BUFFALO NY (WIVB) — Pfizer says its COVID-19 vaccine works for children as young as five, it now awaits FDA approval for emergency use.

“Pfizer says they expect FDA approval in weeks, not months, so we really hope that as we move forward in the next two months, we can start vaccinating these school-age children,” said Dr. Kathleen Grisanti, the president and medical director of WNY’s Pediatric & Adolescent Urgent Care.
