(WXYZ) — Dr. Molly O’Shea, a pediatrician at Birmingham Pediatrics, was with us this morning to answer questions about the COVID-19 vaccine for children aged 5-11.

It comes after an FDA advisory panel recommended giving the Pfizer vaccine to children in that age group.

Full authorization for emergency use could come next week.
