Police arrest Kokomo man accused of child molesting over 10-year period

KOKOMO, Ind. — Police have arrested a Kokomo man following an investigation into allegations of child molesting that date back to a decade.
The Howard County Prosecutor’s Office announced that eight felony counts have been filed against 48-year-old Sieyumbe Arrington of Kokomo. The Kokomo Police Department began investigating Arrington after receiving a tip alleging that he sexually abused multiple juvenile victims between 2012 and 2022.
Online jail records indicate Arrington was booked into the Howard County Jail on Oct. 8. He faces the following preliminary charges:
- Two counts of Child Molesting (Level 1 Felony)
- Three counts of Sexual Misconduct with a Minor (Level 4 Felony)
- Three counts of Neglect of a Dependent (Level 6 Felony)
HCPO urged anyone with additional information related to the case to contact Kokomo police at 765-456-7342. He is scheduled to appear in Howard Superior Court 2 for a jury trial on Jan. 6.
