Three people injured in east side shooting
INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metro Police Department is investigating a triple shooting that happened early Monday morning.
According to IMPD, around 2 a.m. officers received an initial report of 30 to 40 shots fired at the intersection of 34th and Arlington. When officers arrived to the scene they did not find a victim.
Later the same day around 2:20 a.m., officers were called to Community East Hospital on a report of a walk in person shot in stable condition. Officers learned that the victim was injured in the shooting and self-transported themselves to the hospital.
40 minutes later around 3 a.m., police were called to Methodist Hospital on a second report of a walk-in person shot. Police believe that the male victim sustained his injuries in the incident. Police say that the man is in stable condition.
5 minutes after that, officers received a third report of a walk-in person shot at Eskenazi Hospital related to the shooting. Officers said that the victim is in stable condition.
