Winning Powerball ticket sold in Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS — While Saturday’s Powerball drawing produced no jackpot winner, a ticket sold in Indiana is worth $1 million.

The $1 million winning ticket matched five numbers but missed the Powerball. The winning numbers for the March 23 drawing were 6, 23, 25, 34 and 51 with a Powerball of 3.

Indiana wasn’t the only state to produce a significant winner; tickets sold in California, Florida, Texas and Washington also matched five numbers but missed the Powerball.

The jackpot for Saturday’s drawing was estimated at $750 million. With another missed jackpot, the prize will swell to an estimated $800 million for the next drawing on Monday, March 25.

There have been 35 consecutive Powerball drawings without a winner. The March 25 jackpot represents the sixth-large prize in Powerball history.

The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
