Juvenile party leads to shots fired, pedestrian hit by car

Police are investigating after a juvenile party led to shots being fired, and a person getting hit by a car in downtown Indianapolis early Sunday morning.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the incident started as a party involving juveniles at “The Point On Mass” Apartment Complex on East Michigan Street.

Police say shots went off at around 2:15 a.m., but nobody was hit by the gunfire. However, someone running from the scene was struck by a car. They were transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

Police did take a male into custody.

It’s not clear what led up to shots being fired, or if the person hit by the vehicle was intentionally struck.
