Registered behavior therapist arrested for child sex crimes
HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. — A 31-year-old Pendleton man has been arrested on suspicion of child sex crimes.
According to the Fishers Police Department, Alec Hegge worked with children with autism as a registered behavior therapist in Anderson. He is no longer employed at the facility.

On Thursday, Hegge was arrested by a detective from the Hamilton County Metro ICAC Task Force. He has preliminarily been charged with two counts of child molesting, including the molestation of an infant, according to the task force.
Investigators believe that additional charges may come as the investigation continues. Hegge told investigators he never hurt a patient, as too many safeguards were in place.
Police are requesting that if someone’s family worked with Hegge and they believe they or their child is a victim, to call Det. Chris Borgmann at (317)-595-3467.
